When I saw this I instantly thought of the Shire (as I imagine many of you did) and then, after sleuthing and slithering about the net, discovered that J.R.R.Tolkein not only VISITED this magical little village of Barnt Green, Worcestershire (his maternal cousins lived there) he painted a number of lovely watercolours of the place as well. These discoveries are ridiculously exciting to me, I must confess.
